Offshore Subsurface Investigation for Proposed Port Expansion, St. Vincent.
Eight marine boreholes were advanced to a depth of approx. 30 to 45 meters below mudline (sea floor bed). These test boreholes were drilled from a jack up barge, and two additional marine boreholes, advanced to a depth of 6 to 12 meters below mudline to investigate a sewer outflow line. These borings were advanced using mud rotary drilling equipment through the overburden soils in water on average depth of 15m (50 ft.) and total depth of 33-64m (110 to 210 ft. July – August 2022
SOL Caribbean Ltd.. – Phase II Environmental Site Assessments of Fuel Terminals.
Undertook a number of Phase I and II environmental site assessment studies for 13 fuel storage terminal sites across 4 Eastern Caribbean countries, including, Barbados, Grenada, Dominica, and St. Vincent & Grenadine islands, Bequia, Canouan, and Mustique. The project included supervision of drilling of boreholes and the installation of monitoring wells, and carried out associated soil and water testing, in association with WSP – Golder & Associates & KKS CONSULTING. April – October 2021

Performed inspections, and a record of drilling of injection points, drill rates, material types, rock depth (as encountered), total casing penetration depth, and similar. Recorded measurements of grout quantities, injection rate, injection pressure, grout consistency, grout strength, and similar data.– July 2021

Geotechnical investigation which required drilling over forty (40) borings drilled within the proposed building limits, to determine the in-situ strength of the site soil/rock and the condition of the underlying rock and possible existence of caves or fissures within the rock, determination of stratigraphy, detection of any cavities/sinkholes, and bearing capacity. Carrying out feasibility studies for a proposed sea water desalination plant on the north-west coast of the island and as such required some test wells and monitoring wells drilled within the site. This involved drilling and installation of deep abstraction/injection groundwater wells to specification, and pump testing. Jun 2017 – Sep 2017
Geotechnical & Environmental Phase 2 Site Assessment Study SOL Caribbean Ltd. Mandela Avenue, Georgetown, Guyana - 2018
Supervision of a geotechnical engineering investigation conducted at the site to develop parameters for the design of facilities bearing on the ground surface at the site for a service station and retail development. The site was formerly used as a landfill, several groundwater monitoring wells are to be installed at the site to provide both soil and groundwater samples for analyses.
The geotechnical engineering and environmental site assessment services consisted of field and laboratory investigations and engineering analyses.
Geotechnical Investigations – Super Dorm, St. Georges University, Grenada - 2016
Subsurface performed Standard penetration test (SPT) borings drilled with a direct push probe, and Geotech Report submitted to Civil Structural Engineers (.Stantec Consulting Caribbean Ltd.) This geotechnical investigation provided the design input for the construction of a five-story approx. 81,690 square foot dormitory the largest at the university.

Project management and supervision of a number of geotechnical boreholes were carried out, and monitoring wells installed to the specification of the project’s professional geologist.
A number of standard penetration test (SPT) borings up to 60 to 70 feet through the overlying alluvial sediments were drilled to determine the classification of these sediments, and an electrical resistivity imaging (ERI) performed over the site. Nov 2011

Oversight of the installation of two (2) abstraction wells, and two (2) injection wells both 200-feet deep, including pump testing of water production and discharge capacity to required engineer’s standards (Stantec Consulting). Completion of a number of geotechnical test boreholes including split spoon STP sampling and NQ rock core samples, preparation of borehole logs, and carrying out percolation testing to relevant engineering standards. In addition, driller’s log of boreholes were completed indicating any anomalies during this process and down hole video recording of borehole substratum. May 2011
