Kevin Seale BASc. MCSCE, BAPE
Managing Director
Kevin holds a BASc. in Geology with a concentration in Geotechnical Sciences from Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada, and is pursuing graduate studies, to earn an MSc. in Hydrogeology from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland.
With many years experience working in Canada and the Caribbean region Kevin is recognized for his leadership in field operations, specializes in geotechnical, hydrogeology, groundwater, and environmental assessments.
Kevin excels in managing complex geotechnical projects under tight deadlines, overseeing diverse teams, and navigating logistical challenges to ensure seamless project execution and high-quality results. Kevin co-founded Subsurface and is an active member of regional professional institutions including BAPE.

Omar Allahar MIStrcutE MSc. BSc. CEng PEng
Director
Omar is a highly experienced civil and structural engineer with extensive expertise across Europe and the Caribbean. He holds a BSc. in Civil Engineering from the University of the West Indies and an MSc. in Structural Engineering, specializing in Analysis and Design of Structures for Hazards, from City University, London.
Omar’s consulting work focuses on designing climate- and disaster-resilient structures, contributing to numerous projects across the Caribbean and Europe. His expertise extends to managing development projects in the built environment and renewable energy sector.
Omar serves as a director and technical advisor to Subsurface. He is a Chartered Member of the Institution of Structural Engineers (MIStructE), a registered engineer in the UK, Barbados, and Trinidad, and an active member of regional professional institutions. He previously served as Regional Chairman of the Caribbean Regional Group of the Institution of Structural Engineers.

Robert Atkinson
Co-Founder
With over 35 years of experience, Robert is a seasoned driller and the backbone of the company’s field operations. Highly skilled in multiple drilling techniques, including: Rotary Drilling (Mud/Water-Based), Percussion Drilling, Auger Drilling, Cable Tool Drilling, Direct Push, Rock Coring, Sonic Drilling, Dual Rotary and Angle Drilling.
Robert ensures precise sample extraction for geotechnical analysis, playing a critical role in delivering accurate and reliable data. His hands-on approach and technical precision have been instrumental in the successful execution of complex regional projects.
At DTCI, based in Maryland, USA, Robert also manages a team of OSHA-certified personnel with expertise in environmental and geotechnical drilling. His commitment to safety, reliability, and accuracy ensures that every project meets DTCI’s high standards. By prioritizing safe and precise field operations, he plays a crucial role in delivering dependable data for successful project outcomes.
The leadership team is supported by a network of highly trained technicians and subcontractors with extensive experience throughout the Caribbean. These skilled professionals contribute to the seamless execution of projects, combining technical expertise with a deep understanding of the region’s diverse conditions.
