The Geoprobe 7822DT is a compact, versatile direct push drill rig designed for environmental, geotechnical, and subsurface investigation projects but can also be used for mini piling, ground anchors, and solar PV support post installations. Mounted on a tracked platform, this highly mobile unit is capable of operating in tight or difficult-to-access locations, including urban areas, rugged terrain, and confined spaces. It features a powerful, hydraulically driven mast with a 2,250-lbf hammer for efficient probing, as well as the ability to switch seamlessly between direct push, augering, and rotary drilling methods.

Despite its compact design, tripod drilling is versatile and can support various methods, including auger drilling, percussion sampling, and cable tool techniques. It is typically capable of reaching depths of up to 30 meters (98 feet), depending on loose soils and clay conditions.

Geophysical Electrical Resistivity Equipt

Electrical Resistivity Mapping is a geophysical technique used to measure subsurface resistivity variations, which are critical for detecting voids, discontinuities, or material changes in the ground. Resistivity, a property describing how easily a material transmits electrical current, varies with material composition—high resistivity indicates resistance to current flow, while low resistivity suggests conductive materials. Subsurface primarily utilizes the Dipole-Dipole Method and the Four-Point Wenner Method.

The Dipole-Dipole Method, ideal for identifying voids and discontinuities, involves placing 56 electrodes at 1 to 2-meter intervals along a survey line to create a detailed subsurface image. The Wenner Method, often used for determining soil resistivity for grounding applications (e.g., cell towers, wind turbines, and substations), uses four stakes placed at equal intervals with varying spacing to measure resistivity at different depths. These methods provide accurate, non-invasive solutions for geotechnical, environmental, and electrical infrastructure projects.
